The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

Who else is super excited about The Hobbit movie?

When I first heard that Peter Jackson was interested in directing a movie based on The Hobbit, I was like a giddy school kid. Then I began to hear rumors that they were recasting Orlando Bloom as Legolas and Cate Blanchett as Galadriel. At first I was disappointed, thinking that they were going to ruin the story just to sell some more tickets.

Now, I’m a little more receptive to the idea. Peter Jackson is a great storyteller. Plain and simple. Even if he adds or subtracts here or there, I have no doubt that the final product will be a delight to all but entrenched Tolkien purists.
